According to News1 on June 19, BTS member Suga effectively completed his service as a social service worker on June 18 by using his remaining vacation days. This means he no longer needs to report to his assigned duty location. His use of annual leave was confirmed to be within normal regulations. Although his official service is complete, his discharge date remains June 21. Suga began his alternative service on September 22, 2023, and received basic military training during his term.
Previously, on June 18, BigHit Music released an announcement via the fan community platform Weverse, stating, “SUGA will soon complete his military duty as a social service agent. Please note that no official event will take place on the day of his discharge.”
The label also strongly urged fans not to visit the site, citing potential safety issues, “We sincerely ask fans to refrain from visiting the site to prevent safety accidents due to congestion. Please send your warm welcome and support to SUGA through your hearts.”
BigHit added a heartfelt message of gratitude, “We are always thankful for the unwavering love and support you’ve shown to SUGA. We will continue to do our best to support our artists.”

SUGA began his alternative service last year and is the last BTS member to complete military duties, following Jin, J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. With his discharge, all seven members will have fulfilled their military obligations, opening the path for a long-awaited full-group comeback.
